Sobre Mim
CURRENT MISSION
My goal is to conquer the world one continent at a time. Please feel free to show your support by hosting me so I don't get broke in the process.
ABOUT ME
I'm out-going and really keen to get out and get involved in whatever is happening locally. I enjoy eating good food and don't mind having a few drinks. I have travelled extensively (or at least I think so), but still feel there is so much more for me to see and learn. Every time I travel I learn something incredible which keeps drawing me away from home. I'm having the most fun when I'm surrounded by great people, listening to good music and eating food (I'll be honest, I'm not picky. I love all food and my days are planned around meal times...).
PHILOSOPHY
"She took a leap, and built her wings on the way down"-inscription on a random piece of jewellery I found very inspiring.
Being an Aussie, I think we feel so far removed from the rest of the world that the desire to travel is almost instinctive. Wanting a career in Foreign Aid, I travel so I can learn about the way other people live and I like to use what I've learned when I get back home to help educate others. We are extremely lucky in Australia and it is important to me to use my good fortune to help as much as I can.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
This is my first time using couchsurfing and so far it has been very successful. I have met some fabulous people from all over the States and can't wait to get home and open up my couch to return the favour.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I got onto couchsurfing through quite a number of friends who have done it before. Whilst I have so far never hosted or been hosted myself, not one person I've spoken to has had a negative experience related to couchsurfing. Traveling around and staying in hostels is fun, but you don't get to see so much of the local culture when you do it that way, which is really what I want to see. I definitely plan on hosting people when I get back home as a lot of my friends have done it and have made life long friendships and had amazing experiences doing so. Please host me :) I promise I'm fun and one day soon I'll be able to return the favour.
Interesses
I have travelled extensively over the passed few years and really enjoy getting out and seeing as much as I can. I love sight-seeing and am a huge fan of trekking and camping out, anything really. Music is one of my passions so I love going out to concerts, gigs, the theatre, street festivals or anything else where live music is pumping. Being Australian I love hanging out at the beach, I just like to get outdoors and be active, it's the best way to see things! I have no qualms about getting dirty or being physically active, and I love being pushed to my limits. Just don't ask me to bungee jump, or walk across a really high unstable bridge. I might pretend to be tough but I can't deal with heights, or at least being up high on an unstable platform where I feel I'm going to fall. Please don't make me do it!
Basically, I'm up for anything and am most likely going to enjoy it.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros
I have grown up listening to all kinds of music and have such a passion for it that I can honestly say I listen to anything and everything (unless of course it's shit). As a jazz musician myself however, I do tend to lean towards music that has it's roots in soul and blues (which is pretty much everything right?).
I have a love of classic literature which was fostered by my studies at school and I have to say I'm a sucker for classic movies as well. Although if I'm to be perfectly honest, you can't go passed a good pixar flick. Madagascar anyone?
Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz
I climbed Mount Kinabalu in Borneo, saw wild Orangutans on a longboat tour through the jungle, went caving in the famous caves of Miri, Borneo, camped out in the Grand Canyon, ziplined over 4000ft gorges in Laos, walked through the Valley of the Kings in Egypt and saw wild Orcas on my way from Victoria, BC to Vancouver. There is never a dull moment in the life of a traveller.
Ensine, Aprenda, Compartilhe
I am yet to meet a foreigner who tells me that Aussies are hostile or unfriendly. There's a reason behind our friendliness and out-going nature and I'll take it upon myself to show you why Aussies are such a welcoming and open bunch.
