About Me

If I had to describe myself I'd say I'm a pretty talkative girl who always has a smile on her lips and who can't stay at home for more than half a day. I'm always busy meeting friends or trying to make the world a better place. Also I'd say I'm really easy going and in for just about any crazy idea!

What I really love to do is traveling (of course I do, this is couchsurfing), especially hiking, climbing and just being out in nature, trying out new things, meeting new people and having good conversations with them and last but not least changing the world for the better, little by little!

I like to explore new places, preferably beautiful nature. I don't like to travel the ordinary way though with a big ol' suitcase on wheels, staying in an all inclusive hotel or flying to a far-away city for two nights to go shopping. You're just gonna scratch the surface of that place or that other culture and ruin your carbon footprint at the same time. For my part, I'm rather into hitchhiking, wildcamping, couchsurfing, meeting locals and exploring the places around!

The other thing that I am really excited about is geeting in touch with people from different cultures. Sometimes we have really different ways to look at things and different ways of doing things in different cultures which can be challeging at first. But actually seeing, understanding and evetually overcoming those differences is a really rewarding way to learn about other people, about yourself and become a better and more understanding person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have met so many wonderful people and made many friends on Couchsurfig! They have shown me wonderful places, I went to bars in Scotland, was taken onto a motorcicle trip in Denmark and played games with a lovely four-year-old in Helsinki. I am very thankful for those memories and the trust and hospitality that my hosts gave me. Hosting people was also a lovely experience and I wish that I could host more people again, but unfortunately my room is a bit too small for that at the moment.

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Germany, Sweden, United States
