Overview
About Me
I work full time as a school counselor. In my spare time I am practicing to become a painter. Would love to get to know you and explore places together. PLEASE READ: in exchange for hosting you, I'm asking all my guests to please donate 3-4 hours to sit for a portrait session. Guests stay 3-7 days; no short term stays so we can be flexible about what day to do the portrait. Mention this in your request to me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meeting new people keeps life interesting. I love learning other languages and cultures.
Hosting since June 2017 has allowed me to have models for my paintings. Check out my couch photos!

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently reading On the Road by Kerouac; favorite book is Steppenwolf by Hesse and any of Shakespeare's comedies. Classic and alternative rock music. The Goonies, Back to the Future, Donnie Darko, Twin Peaks, Game of Thrones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I became a teenage mom while attending UC Berkeley. I raised my daughter (she's now 24 and living in Korea) as a single mom without the support of my family.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an artist - specifically oil painter of figures and portraits, but I also like photography, architecture, and landscape design. I can make a portrait of you.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook and clean and also bake. I love art and architecture and I'm willing to share what I know with hosts and guests.
