I’m from San Francisco and bring with me an easygoing vibe, considerate and perceptive presence, and excitement to learn and discover. I value meaningful connections with a wide range of people - but I am also just as happy to be independent and do my own thing exploring new places. I’ve traveled through North America, Europe, Asia, and East Africa and have much more to see and do!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My profile is new but my experience hosting and being hosted via other avenues is not. I’ve always loved showing people around San Francisco/California, especially visitors from abroad, and I’ve of course benefitted myself from others’ many kindnesses while I’ve been traveling. One of these chance encounters happened to be with a longtime CS member who introduced me to the community so here I am. I’m here to meet people, make memories, and offer positivity.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first international travel experience was when I left home at 13 to live with a host family in France for half a year. I loved blending into and discovering a new language, family, and place, and I’m still in close touch with them. Every subsequent travel experience traces something back to that feeling of discovery I had as a young kid out in the world for the first time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning about a place’s natural and cultural history! I appreciate language exchanges and love to cook with new people and try new dishes. I’m also always excited to try new sports or outdoor activities and share music recommendations. I like the mundane while abroad - a trip to the local grocery store has just as much of a place in travel as a trip to a significant monument in my opinion.
