About Me
Hello, my name is Yulia and I live in the south of Russia. I'm an English and Russian teacher, so I teach both Russians and foreigners and I really enjoy my job. It's very inspiring to see how people succeed in learning new skills and getting better.
I love languages, so I'm currently studying Spanish, but I'd also love to learn French, Danish, Greek, Hebrew and many other languages.
I also enjoy reading books (my first education is journalism, so I've read plenty of them) and I have an ambition to write my own book one day (or at least a great textbook for people who want to study Russian). I also love good films and TV-series, comics (there are some good ones in Russia as well) and travelling and meeting new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
From August 2017 till the end of 2018 I'll be living in the USA as an exchange student/teaching assistant, and I'd love to use this year to travel as much as I can and to see a lot of great things.
What I Can Share with Hosts
If you are interested in Russian language and Russian culture, I can tell you a lot. If you are learning languages, I can help with general methods and approaches. If you are geek, who plays computer games, love comics and sci-fi, I can share your interests and have some nice discussions with you. :)
