About Me
I'm Julie! (Pronounced hoo-lee) I love to travel, play music and sing, and of course meet new people! I love to try new things, poke fun and make jokes as often as possible. You know what they say, laughter is the best medicine.
I have been to close to all 50 States but never traveled internationally. I try to travel fairly frugally but somehow have never used this site before, so let's hang out and have some fun!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This unconventional way of traveling seems so interesting. I'm interested in meeting folks I wouldn't normally, trying new things and making friends all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Folk, blues, hip-hop, swing, jazz.
Currently reading Shantaram. I mostly read fiction or fantasy but every once in a while I really like a memoir or historical non-fiction.
Quentin Tarintino, David Lynch, Daron Aronofsky, weird stuff like that. I also love Tom Hanks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seeing the night sky exploding with stars from a freight train while riding through the desert.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach some basic chords and melodies on guitar or ukelele, maybe some songs if you're interested in learning my stuff. I'd love to learn more music though, so if you're a musician I'd love for you to show me something.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can clean your dishes, walk your dog, draw you a picture, tell stories, funny jokes and be an adventuring partner.
