Hi there! I run social impact campaigns about literacy and coach social good leaders to be their brightest, most aligned selves. I love travel and prefer the small local food spots to fancy fare. I've lived in NYC (Harlem and then Brooklyn) since 2010 and would be happy to share recommendations for off-the-path finds and adventures. I'm into hiking but pretty mediocre at biking. Love cats and dogs alike.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My partner and I are about to embark on a big cross-country road trip as we move from Brooklyn to Los Angeles. He's a musician and composer. I'm a leadership coach. We have two cats, but love all animals (except tarantulas -- eek!) We've traveled a lot (last year to Japan, South Korea, Austin TX, California) and frequently stayed in homes of friends and strangers to excellent reviews. We are very self aware and cleanly and will happily offer to cook for you. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music really varies depending on the day but I've been on a Lizzo kick for a few months now.

Favorite movies are the Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, Before Midnight trilogy.

Most recent favorite book is The Power by Naomi Alderman, but I often come back to the late great James Baldwin's works.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ziplined across the Zambezi River in Zambia...or most recently went to the DMZ in Korea at the height of nuclear tensions with the US. :-0
