Overview
About Me
I love to travel and meet new people and learn about their culture. I have a very particular way of traveling: I want to see everything in a short period of time. My trips are usually long but include a million places I want to see, so I usually need a vacation from my vacation. I like theater, music and modern art, though I am not an expert in any of them. I'm not very athletic and I like both nature and city life.
This is my first time trying out Couch Surfing. I love to travel and lately I've been traveling alone a lot, but I usually stay at hostels. I like that you meet people from around the world in hostels but I want to try something that allows me to meet locals and have a more authentic cultural experience. I also feel like going to tourist attractions and not having real contact with locals is not the best way to travel and it's not as rewarding and exciting as getting to know the place you visit. Unfortunately, my trips are usuall very short, so I can only get a general sense of the culture and life of the city/country I visit, but I think CouchSurfing can help me make the most of that short time both by learning from and by sharing with other people. I really hope I get the chance to try this amazing way to get to know the world and make new friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of meeting local people and seeing the places I visit through their eyes. I also consider myself a self-appointed cultural embassador for my country, so I love to talk about Argentina.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite book is probably "El País Bajo Mi Piel", by Gioconda Belli. I love magical realism in books and in film. I don't really have a favorite movie. My favorite TV show is probabably "Black Mirror". I love classic detective stories, and some action and comedy films/TV shows/books, but I think my favorites are probabably more political in nature, or at least inspire some kind of social debate.
As far as music goes, I like specific songs and artists, regarless of the genre. I especially like artists who try different genres all the time. I also really like to try "folk" music from different countries and learn about local artists.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Given my lack of athletic experience, for me it was quite an adventure to hike Mount Champaquí, in Córdoba Argentina. Another amazing thing was to get lost in the streets of Santiago de Compostela with a friend I had met only a month earlier but had become a great companion. I also got lost in the beaches of Rio during the Rio +20 environmental summit and met people from parts of the world I doubt I'll ever be able to visit.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to teach about my country, my language and my profession. I like to learn about everything and anything. I like to share my culture and my experiences.
