About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Graduate University! Meanwhile having as much fun as possible and enjoying student life :)
ABOUT ME
Hello fellow couch surfers! My name is Julia and I am 23 years old. I am a very open-minded and social person. People say I am easy-going and fun to be around. Hope that's true:)
The last two years I lived in Vancouver, Canada. I wish I could have stayed but unfortunately I wasn't able to go to university there. So I moved back to Germany for my studies in 2014 and am now studying media and communication in Mannheim. I am happy that I got in, I love my courses and really enjoy life as a student.
My friend Larissa and I are going to be traveling the West Coast for three weeks in June and July. We both study media & communication together in Mannheim. Together, we love to go out or just spend a night in front of the TV. She is also a very open and funny person, though maybe not as crazy as I am :) Larissa has never been to the West Coast, I've been there a few times. We're both really excited to go on this trip together and hope to meet some awesome people on the way! You can see Larissa in a few pictures as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
This is my first time couch surfing but I've heard lots of positive reactions, so I would love to experience it myself! I think it's a great way to meet new people from different cultures and with different backgrounds. It's also really nice to have an insider give you tips about the city.
I'm really excited to meet new people and can't wait to share awesome stories with each other!
Interests
I love to travel! I hope one day I can say that I've been all around the world.
Aside from that I enjoy all types of sports and exercise, I'm very passionate about horse riding and boxing. Last year I ran my first Marathon in Vancouver, and was a finisher in the Paris half this year :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a big Rolling Stones and Metallica fan but I listen to a lot of different types of music.
The Millenium Trilogy was one of the best book series I've ever read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiking the Black Tusk in Whistler was amazing!
Backpacking through Thailand with my sister for a month was probably one of the most exhausting but seriously unbelievable things I have done so far.
Finishing my first marathon in Canada.
Seeing the Rolling Stones in Concert with my dad for the first time this year.
What I Can Share with Hosts
The past two years I have lived in Vancouver, Canada. I was able to travel a lot during that time so I think I have some pretty cool stories to share with you! During my travels I also met a lot of interesting people with totally different backgrounds and cultures. For me, this is one of the most interesting things about traveling, the differences and similarities to other people from different places in the world.
