I love to travel and connecting with locals is the only way to make that a complete and worthwhile experience. Otherwise you might as well just Google image search a place. A place is its people. Whenever I've ended up staying in people's homes is when I've most connected with a place and a culture.

I hitchhiked through a good portion of Central Asia by myself. It was the trip to end all trips. Figuratively. Definitely not literally.
