Hey there! My name is Julia and I'm from Saint-Petersburg, Russia. You might be confused by my appearance because Russia is the last country you would think of when you see me. The story is that my grandgrandmother escaped from North Korea in mid 40s, just before Korea was splitted into South and North. And she settled in a far east of Russia, Kuril islands... to be continued.

I was telling this story hundreds of times while my travels, because people used to say i don't look like russian, i don't speak like russian and i don't behave like russian. I'll break stereotypes about russians (if you have them) and let's get united to one big nation - Nation of Love, Freedom and Travellers.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I'm continuing my around the world trip. Last time i traveled from October 2014 to March 2015. I've met a lot of people from all over the world, we shared our interests and cultural specificities. And i've met people who've been couchsurfing and they said that it's a great experience.

I realized that rather staying in hostels, it would be more interesting to stay with locals and get to know culture a bit better. Since i'm a writer it's one more reason for my interest in couchsurfing.

I'm a full time traveller and it's my true passion at the moment.
Also i'm writing a book and have a travelblog.
Music and singing is my lifetime passion.
Developing my spirituality and conscious living.
