Hi!

I'll write in English here, but feel free to message me in German (or Japanese if you can handle bad grammar).

I'm a student in design management in Finland, from Germany, and as most people here, love to travel and experience as much of the local culture as possible.

Apart from that I enjoy film photography, sketching and reading. I have huge holes in common knowledge when it comes to movies and, ironically, geography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really prefer to see as much of the small, everyday cultural specialities, especially when I only have the chance to visit a place as a tourist for a short time. It's also always great to meet new people and see different lifestyles, this goes for both, hosting and being a couchsurfer!

And traveling on a budget is also a bit easier with CS. :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot, but always forget the endings. Favorit authors are Haruki Murakami, Oscar Wilde and Neal Stephenson.

I know embarassingly little about movie classics, but watch way too many tv shows.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on the 38th level of a highrise, overwatching Sapporo at a clear night.

And getting invited for a beer by three regulars of a tiny ramen stand there afterwards, who surprisingly new German.

Teach, Learn, Share

Even though I chronically neglect it, language learning is a hobby of mine. If you want to chat in German, English or Japanese, or even learn German, let me know.

I don't know if I'd be a good teacher, but I spend a lot of time on film photography and sketching!

As for learning myself, open for anything! :-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation, a few recipes, language, souvenirs, photos... or if you like to collect something specific, like fridge magnets or postcards, I'd be happy to bring some!
