Overview
About Me
I am a friendly and outgoing person with a passion for adventure and trying new things. I am a writer, a poet, a bibliophile, a barista, a feminist, an environmentalist, and a creative thinker.
In the States, I attend the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a large liberal arts university in western Mass where I study English, French, and Art History. Currently, however, I am residing in Paris, learning more about the culture and the language.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Studying abroad for the year in Paris, France, I am planning on traveling all around Europe. During my trips, I hope to Couchsurf because I want to meet new people coming from a variety of backgrounds. I think the best part of traveling (besides the food, of course) is the people you meet along the way and I hope to meet so many wherever I venture to.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I enjoy all types of music, especially alternative, rock, and jazz. Some particular artists and bands I enjoy include the following: Florence + the Machine, the Beatles, Coldplay, Edith Piaf, Coeur de Pirate, Billie Holiday, Natalie Merchant, Lana del Rey, Fiona Apple, the Cranberries, Mac DeMarco, Kid Cudi, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Pierces, and Chance the Rapper
Movies: I don't watch television (ever, really) but I love cinema! Some of my favorites include Remember the Titans, The Goonies, The Sound of Music, It's a Wonderful Life, The Pursuit of Happyness, Black Swan, Dead Poets Society, The Notebook, 10 Things I Hate About You, and Hotel Rwanda
Books: I love, love, love to read (even though it's hard to fit in during the chaos of life, especially while traveling) My absolute favorites are Catcher in the Rye; The Outsiders; The Great Gatsby; Girl, Interrupted; Slaughterhouse-Five; 1984; The Giving Tree; The Awakening; Dubliners; The Secret Life of Bees; The Help; and Les Grandes Marées
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I ran the largest voters registration drive in the U.S. my sophomore year of college with a student-run non-profit organization, mobilizing 2,443 students at my University (UMass Amherst) to vote in the midterm elections.
Teach, Learn, Share
“My dear, Find what you love and let it kill you. Let it drain from you your all. Let it cling onto your back and weigh you down into eventual nothingness. Let it kill you, and let it devour your remains. For all things will kill you, both slowly and fastly, but it's much better to be killed by a lover. Falsely yours, Henry Charles Bukowski”
“I will not go quietly into that good night, but instead rage against the dying of the light”
-Dylan Thomas
“I hear you say ‘Why?’ Always ‘Why?’ You see things; and you say ‘Why?’ But I dream things that never were; and I say ‘Why not?’”
-George Bernard Shaw from Back to Methuselah
