About Me
Hola, hello, hey
I am Julia from Germany. I am very friendly and open and interested in getting to know other people. I am curious and very critical, but in a nice way ;)
I like to see real things and not superficial stuff in the world, so I try to see the world and form my own pictures and opinions with the help from a lot of people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
couch-surfing is a nice way to meet people with similar interests as me. Since mexico D.F., I realized that couch-surfing is more than just sleeping at someone's house. You gain new contacts, communities and maybe even new friends ;)
So I hope, I can meet some nice people and learn more about their cultures :)
Interests
My interests are diverse. My first priority is sports and friends. Because for going hiking and backpacking I need to be fit =)
And I love swimming, for me it´s the same relaxing feeling as reading a book.
I also like my voluntary work in Cologne, because I am close to the problem and directly hear about the problems and the opinions of the people who are affected.
I love to learn new things...currently i try to dance salsa and to learn Spanish in Mexico d.f.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is different. I prefer reggae dance hall and hip-hop. But for dancing or at festivals it's electronic music or sometimes the oldies. =)
Some of my favorite books are "The help" and "Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close". I prefer Drama and Thriller genres. In movies I try to first see it and then form an opinion, because sometimes the comments can be biased.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh only one =)
My first experience to go hiking in Sweden last year. I was so happy to be so close to the nature. And the wonderful forest was so quiet and reassuring.
I got a new hobby since this experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach my experiences...but I would like to learn more. Now I live in Mexico and I share my experiences and learn a lot about the other culture. And in the end I always see....The world is really little and all over the world are nice people who i don´t know, and areas that I have yet to discover.
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I am back to Germany I can show you the wonderful places of cologne and the nicest places to see the real life of the people there. And for sure my room, my friendly character and the feeling that you can feel at home with me =)
