Resumen
Sobre mí
When I'm not on the road, a plane, a mountain, or another country, home for me is Vancouver, Canada, which will continuously blow me away with its landscape. I am lucky to be surrounded by such amazing friends and family here in BC and around the world, and I choose to look at life and life's happenings with a positive attitude. I graduated from UBC nearly two years ago and have a lovely little degree in French and Psychology, and while doing my undergrad at UBC I had the amazing opportunity to live abroad in Lausanne, Switzerland, which only further fuelled my travel bug. Since then I am working my way to hit 30 countries before I turn 30 - I've got about 10 to go. Eventually I want to become a French Immersion teacher - I've worked with kids for over 10 years in various settings and I know that it would be a career I would look forward to doing every day. Before I get my BEd which I am planning on doing in Nelson, BC, I want to fit in a bit more travel and exploration. Last year I spent a year living in Australia and since being home I have gotten my TEFL certificate and have had the sweet opportunity to teach English to ESL adults, along side my other job as a French tutor and my main job as a lifeguard. One day I hope to also teach English in Japan, but that's a bit later on in my adventure list!
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
I don't think there's a better way to immerse yourself in a town than with staying with a local themselves and learning the ropes!
Intereses
Growing up on the west coast has lead me to develop a love for the outdoors. I enjoy running, biking, hiking, skiing, camping, and recently climbing, and I value living a balanced and healthy lifestyle. I've also recently completed two triathlons, so I think I'm hooked! I'm usually on the go from one activity to the next, however I enjoy reading in my spare time and am always eager to learn and explore new opportunities or places. Also, I love food. I am always game for food.

Música, películas y libros
I love many types of music, especially concerts and festivals. From indie to country to (some) top 40, there isn't much I won't like. Choosing a favourite book is easier said than done however I really enjoyed reading "Wild", "Brain on Fire", "A Fine Balance", and call me predictable but I think my favourite book is still "1984". ...Although it's fair to say that by the time you're reading this I'll have a whole new list of books in mind. As for movies, if it's good, I'll watch it.
Algo increíble que he hecho
I think that's all about perspective, lots of things can be amazing. Sometimes they're big things, sometimes they're small. What matters is that you keep doing them to move yourself forward!
Enseña, aprende, comparte
I am eager to learn more about the world and experience different lifestyles and cultures, and I will answer any questions you may want to know about Canadians and how we ride polar bears to get to school and eat maple syrup and bacon every day.
Qué puedo ofrecer a los anfitriones
I have a contagious enthusiasm for the world and love to meet new people and form connections. I am curious about new places and am always game for an adventure, some solid life chats, and a glimpse into daily lives. I'm usually smiling and am on the verge of making a bad joke or a pun, but I promise I'll spare you. I can also share drinks and food, and if you speak French I would love to talk too!
