I am a 21 y/o woman who enjoys life to the fullest. Passionate about traveling I decided to do a year as an au pair in the United States and call California my home for the time being. My year is over by now but I made so many friends over this year that I am planning to visit all of them in the coming years!
Most of the people would describe me as a very outgoing person who is curious about new cultures and the people who live there. I am not afraid to try new things and to push myself a little further in unknown territory.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I don't want to travel like a tourist. Having a local showing you around even if it is only a short amount of time gets you to the secret spots and the places of the country that you usually wouldn't notice as a tourist. It can make you understand the people of the country better.

Music, Movies, and Books

I myself play the guitar and ukulele - not as good as I want to though. But I guess I could entertain a bonfire quite good.
Going to the movies is one of my favorite things to do and I can watch everything except for horror movies - just gives me the creeps. Mostly I like to watch fantasy or science fiction. My favorite movie is probably the musical Rock of Ages - or the Hobbit - or Harry Potter - or Dreamgirls - or ... okay I can't choose.
I can't choose my favorite book either but what I can say about me reading, is that I will always be consumed by the book as soon as I started reading it. It's like I am in a completely other world and calling my name won't help me get out of there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I could teach people some German or how to play the ukulele (it is really easy). When it comes to learning I am open to learn EVERYTHING. Some of my friends try to teach me their native language or how to cook their favorite meal, one of my friends tried to teach me how to play the piano, ...
I can't say that I am able to share cooking skills - since I don't have any. But I could definitely bake a cake or killer brownies and share my secret recipe with you :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sharing is caring right? I would share anything starting from the cute top in my suitcase over the last piece of pizza to my sometimes quite interesting stories. If you have kids: I have over 3000 hours of child care and am definitely responsible enough to be left alone with at least 4 children. I could also walk your dog, feed your cat or go shopping for you (I love shopping btw).
