About Me
Hi, my name is Julia, I have been living in Muenster for 7 years (study and work), but I grew up in a rather rural area (Emsland, Lower Saxony).
Actually I hate to do these self descriptions because I always find it hard to figure out what's my "favorite something." But I'll try my best because I understand that this is the only way for you to get an impression of me. But I rather prefere the personal contact to these online self-presentations...
I am married to Kai and we live in a lovely 48.5m² flat near the centre of Muenster. We have a red couch (which has nothing to do with me being a psychologist!!) in our living room and we love to host our friends and other nice people on this couch. As of late, we can even offer a 240x220cm double-blanket to our guests, which is really cool (we got that as a wedding present ;-))
I love to love what I do ("Don't dream your life, but live your dreams"). I love to meet new people and get to know them, but I also feel that it's impossible to stay in contact with all the special and interesting people I have met in my life. So I feel that life is about living the encounter, to make the best of it, to enjoy what life gives to you, to live life to its fullest, by being honest, reflective, caring, considerate, and loyal.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I love hiking and although we've been hiking several times with our tent (Norway, Iceland, Hermannsweg), we'd love to use the time we usually spend taking up and down our lovely tent to rather meet local people and get in contact ;-)

Music, Movies, and Books
Books and movies that tell (true) stories of life, of other cultures, of reality.
E.g. Babai (2015), which was recently shown in the Cinema "Kurbelkiste" in Muenster, a small cinema which shows this kind of movies instead of famous blockbusters...
Music - I can hardly ever tell which kind of music I like. I like a lot. It depends on my mood. I love piano music (e.g. Einaudi), a capella (Wise Guys), Singer-Songwriter songs, fun music (e.g. Monsters of Liedermaching), Salsa, music to dance, ...
