About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am following my passion, doing projects in the human rights sector, trying to help others, traveling as much as I can, meeting new and interesting people and figuring out what I want to be "when I grow up" ;)

ABOUT ME

Hmm.. that's the difficult part:
I would say I am an open minded girl with more interests than time to go after them, but always aiming for new experiences, hobbies or to learn something. I am a do-gooder, some say a dreamer, but I believe in this world and that we can change many things for the better, as difficult as it may often seem. (but I am willing to have a constructive discussion about it) ;) Also I have a strong sense for justice and helping people in need, that's why I study law and international development. I encourage everyone who thinks this description is not enough to meet me in person and form your own opinion :)

PHILOSOPHY

I think I'm still working on that right now..
Everything's changing so fast nowadays, it's very hard to predict what will happen in the future, although I would say I'm an optimist. :)
Basically I feel like living live to the fullest, I think it's the best we can do. I was very lucky until now, have a wonderful family, amazing friends and am relatively confident where I want to go in life, I know that's something to be thankful for..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am studying and away a lot, but there might be the possibility for me to offer a couch - so write me :) I'm also interested in meeting new people, show them around , or grab a cup of coffee.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a newbie, but am very interested in the whole concept of couchsurfing. What I've heard from it sounds like a wonderful experience and something I don't want to miss. I had my first couch surfing experience in Mexico and it was great, so I definitely want to do it more often!

Music, Movies, and Books

This could take a while ;)

Movies: currently everything fom Woody Allen (Midnight in Paris, Vicky Christina Barcelona, Whatever Works, To Rome with Love..), Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain (forever and always), Les Intouchables, When Harry met Sally, Some like it hot, 500 days of summer, The Help, The Perks of being a Wallflower, Slumdog Millionair, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Samba...

Music- there's so much great music out there that I haven't even discovered yet, so this list is far more than incomplete, but basically I love Indie and Alternative:
Mumford & Sons, Angus and Julia Stone, The Beatles (especially John Lennon), Beirut, Ben Howard, Coldplay, Death Cab for Cutie, Miike Snow, Noah and the Whale, Portugal the Man, Two Door Cinema Club, Yann Tiersen, Boy & Bear, Ezra Furman, Alt J, Parov Stelar, Eddie Vedder, The XX...

My favorite authors: Isabelle Allende, Gioconda Belli, Vikas Swarup, J.K. Rowling, Francois Lelord, Ray Bradbury, J.R.R. Tolkien, Antoine de Saint-Exupery...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been on the Sugar Loaf Mountain and watched the sun sett over Rio de Janeiro, seems kind of cheesy, but as I was standing there hundred meters above the earth I felt as if everything was possible.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I can teach how to have the most interesting political, social or cultural debates, how to write amateur poems, how to sing (preferably together) and English and German if anyone's interested.

Learn: my next big goal is to learn french properly, that's why I'm on exchange semester in France right now. For any help in this area I would be glad. :) What I also want to learn better is cooking, especially exotic food.

Share: memories, laughs, wisdom (or not), friendship, experiences- I think these are things worth sharing.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Colombia, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Nicaragua, Panama, Slovenia, Sweden, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Austria, France, Nicaragua
