About Me
23 years old, currently serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in rural Costa Rica
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love traveling, seeing the world and experiencing different cultures. I am always looking to improve my spanish and learn new languages. Meeting people is one of my favorite parts of travelling and I've heard the couchsurfing community is very welcoming.
Interests
I love adventure. I grew up going on short hikes and am working up to do multi-day treks and maybe a little mountaineering in the future. I have been vegetarian for many years, but i try to eat primarily plant-based. I currently live with a host family who insists on feeding me all meals (love them but it's a lot sometimes). When I'm not with my host fam, I love cooking, especially indian and asian inspired cuisine. Photography is a casual passion of mine - I especially love taking pictures of animals and landscapes.

Music, Movies, and Books
My music taste is all over the place! Frank Turner is my all time fave. Recently I've been listening to a lot of the Dip, Lowcut Connie and Hozier too.
I watch movies but only if somebody else picks what to watch. A movie buff friend once insisted I tell him my 10 all time favorite movies, despite my warnings that it would upset him because they would pretty much all be childrens movies. He was distraught with the results. I unironically love Shrek; haters need not interact.
I am a huge reader and always looking for suggestions. I just finished reading the A Song of Ice and Fire books and am always happy to discuss them! I'm also a huge Lord of the Rings fan. My all time favorite book is Behind the Beautiful Forevers (Katherine Boo). Other books I've read recently and loved: Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, A Man Called Ove, Red White and Royal Blue and The Feast of the Goat.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am currently serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer, which I think is cool! I don't know if it counts as amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to swap recipes, cook for you or cook a communal meal together! (Although all my food will be vegetarian or vegan)
I can also help with your English or Spanish studies; I am not TEFL certified, but I have substantial experience as an English teacher and tutor. My secondary degree was Spanish language, literature and linguistics.
I am also a good editor! Writing is a long time passion of mine, and I would be happy to review your work. Books, blogs or whatever else you might be working on, I can edit for grammar and/or content.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Oops, I wrote that in the Teach/Learn/Share part. What was I supposed to write for that? 😆
