About Me

The bad news is time flies. The good news is you are the pilot. - Jay Shetty

I try to enjoy every moment of my life because we don't have an endless amount of it. For me it's important to be spontaneous and to be brave in some situations and try new things because the best things that happened to me until now were the ones I was a little afraid of in the first moment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people and to experience the city i want to see with the eyes of someone who actually lives there. Even if it's just one or two days. But the experience you make with other peolpe are at least twice as beautiful because you have someone to share them with.

I also think, that you can only say about yourself that you have seen a city when you have been to all the hidden places, the small restaurants and the secret partys or beautiful bookstores or cinemas just the local people can know. I don't want to rush through a city and just see the "mainstream" stuff, i want to see the character of the city and the people that live in there.

Interests

I love to talk a lot and to laugh the whole day. I'm a passionate photographer and traveler. I also love to read books, learn new languages, eat traditional food or go outside and climb on roofs or hike through the mountains.

I don't need much to be happy, as long as i have a place to sleep and something to drink and eat but i would be more than happy if you could show me your city and how you spend the day or night with your friends.

Of course you will find a place to sleep in my room in Dessau in return, no matter if you bring your friends, dogs or cats with you.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read historical books or Science-Fiction, Fantasy, Comedy and sometimes Romances.
My absolute favorite book is "The Medicus" from Noah Gordan.

I also love to watch movies (especially when it's in crazy locations like open air cinemas, on the roof of my friends house or in the mittle of africa in a tiny cold house). I'm interested in every kind of movies as long as it is nothing like horror or all the other ones that could scare me. (I'm a little afraid in the dark and can't sleep at all after this kind of movies :D)

Music has to be everywhere for me. No matter if i'm in the supermarket, at home or in the car or train. I love to sing along and dance to it and i'm a little festival addicted, especially since i work in this buisness since 2 years now. So if there is a little concert, a great party or a festival with good music, i'm in. My favorites are nearly all kinds of musik but mostly rock, hard rock, pop, soul, house, a bit of metall, rap (mostly german), hip hop and everything that sounds good to me and cheers me up.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once i traveled through Tanzania in Africa and in the middle of the night somewhere with no civilisation around us we stoped our car after a 4 hours ride. With 9 people in it. We danced, sang an yelled under the stars because we started to feel our legs again. We jumped around and laughed and i never felt so happy, although i just knew this guys for a couple of weeks and we were going to sepereate again in a few more weeks. They were the best people i could be with in this moment and i will always remember them and the fresh cold air and the bright stars in this beautiful african night.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would enjoy teaching you a few german phrases or words and learn some of your language. Sadly i just know how to play clarinet but that's not necessarily an instrument everybody wants to learn but i can tell a lot of stories and i would love to hear yours. I can also teach you some basics about design or give you some basic tipps about gardening since i have my own garden in germany since a few month now.
