About Me
Hi! I am Julia :), a student of Product Design from Brazil. I currently study in Istituto Europeo di Design in Sao Paulo, BR, and as part of my bachelor programme, I was offered a chance to get to study in IED Milano campus for a semester (it will be my 5th!). I am very excited about the italian culture - specially concerning archictecture, landscape, urbanism, visual arts - and new courses I will take, It is also a great opportunity for me to be in touch with a new language, I expect to learn a lot and return with personal and academic development, helping me grow in my chosen area of expertise.
I also intend to travel through Europe while I'm studying in Milan.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was shown how amazing these experiences are by a friend who had me surf with him in Los Angeles, CA. Currently, I am seeking to connect to as many people as I can, whether they are available to show me their city or just chat around.
Interests
Music, concerts and festivals. I love travelling but then again who on CS doesn't!?
Music, Movies, and Books
I love reading books, some of my favourite from last year was
I am also currently reading Caliban and the Witch, by Silvia Federeci, City of Quartz, by Mike Davis, Freedom is a Constant Struggle, by Angela Davis and Giving An Account of Oneself, by Judith Butler.
My all time favourite fiction is probably Master and Margarita, by Mikhail Bulgakóv.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled through many cities to follow an entire tour of my favourite band and that made me see my own country from a brand new perspective.
I also lived in an isle in Brazil and that was pretty cool too.
I lived for a brief time in Orlando, FL while I was working for one of the biggest companies in the world, Walt Disney Parks & Resorts.
Teach, Learn, Share
I hope to learn new languages and I love to discuss anything related to art. I can also help people who want to learn my native language, Portuguese.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Brazilian culture or any help needed for that purpose. We can also hang and have nice conversations, I'm looking to meet as many interesting people as possible.
