Hey there 🌞 I'm Julia, 21 years old, student at the university of Leipzig for a teaching degree in primary education.

I am truly in love with Leipzig and its people. Even though I really enjoy living in the city I love traveling a lot. I've spent one year abroad in Greece to work in a local primary school and to give computer seminars for local children. I've made some friends all around the world, especially in Italy, which is why I went there last year to discover the country and its culture a little.
Once I'd like to travel through Japan and I'd like to see India and Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Scotland, ...

Cultures, different ways of living and especially languages make me curious and I want to get to know as much as I can before (possibly) working as a teacher.

Some more facts about me: I play the guitar (a little), I sing, I am part of one of the universities choirs, I currently study sign language as additional subject, I love nature, one of my favourite movies is: "WEIT", one of my favourite books is: "The world according to Garp", my favourite TV-series is: "friends", my favourite band is:"Snarky Puppy".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I simply like traveling much more when getting to know other people. I think it is a great opportunity to get to see new places with the eyes of locals instead of just following the instructions of guide books.

I like songtexts with a message to seriously think about. I currently listen to Snarky Puppy, the artic monkeys, rise against, Queen, the red hot chilli peppers and classical music quite a lot.
I prefer movies dealing with real life situations. I love the Friends-series for its great humor. Talking about books I enjoy a lot of classics, non-fiction and poetry: ones that make me seriously think.
