About Me

Hello,

At the moment I study Psychologie in Berlin, but I am spending my semester break in Colombia to improve my spanish and help a friend to build his Finca in the wild nature close to the beautiful village Jardin.

I'm always interested in learning new things, meeting new people, discover new places. After highschool, I travelled half a year from Hamburg to Cambodia - through the beautiful landscapes of central asia, having lots of time to hike, think and make up my mind about the future.

I'm a very active, sports-loving and open minded person. I do kung fu, dancing and sports climbing and I also love watersports. I usually don't spend much time at home, I'm rather outside and meet friends. I love doing art, swimming in cold lakes, start a project, boardgames and trying new food that looks funny. Here in Colombia, I had the chance to learn horse riding - a great experience!

I like all the beauty in life: art, music, dance, nature, people and good writing. I changed my mind about the main topics in life almost twice by now, spending lots of time thinking, rethinking and reading books that don't say what I want to hear.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My family hosted a lot of couch surfers while I was growing up and for me it was always a pleasure to meet them and listen to their stories. I often had the feeling that I learned more about the countries by sitting with a couch surfer on the couch than by doing the tourist tour on location.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love reading philosophical and generally non-fiction books. I want to read books that challenge my position towards the topic, that make me disagree and that widen my perspective.
I recently read: Atlas Shrugged (Ayn Rand), Sapiens (Yuval Noah Harari), Animal Ethics (Peter Singer), The ethics of liberty (Murray N. Rothbard), How to be free (Tom Hodgekinson), Reborn (Susan Sontag), The surprising Purpose of Anger (Marshall B. Rosenberg), Everything by Joachim Meyerhoff, Factfulness (Hans Rosling), From 0 to 1 (Peter Thiel)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spend a night barefoot in Berlin, walking the Landsmannalaugar in Iceland and the Camino de Santiago in Spain.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn every kind of dance, surfing, traditional vegan dishes or the most important sentences in every language. I can teach you how to boulder (climbing without rope), my language or I could cook for you.

I'm always interested in sharing political ideas, dreams about the future and extraordinary experiences.
