Hi, my name is Julia and I'm a 24 year old student from Sweden. I love visiting other countries, living abroad and having friends from all over the world :)

Now backpacking through Israel - Palestine - Jordan for my big adventure. I would love to meet with locals and learn everything about these countries!

Right now I am studying a master's degree in financial mathematics at Uppsala University. Besides my commitment to the student life I am quite politically minded and especially interested in questions regarding equality and integration. I am involved with two organisations in Uppsala -- the Red Cross Youth Foundation and Hayat -- where we mostly focus on helping newly arrived refugee children to integrate into the Swedish society. So far it has been very rewarding and fun to be a part of it. During my free time I spend most of my time doing all kinds of sports, I also enjoy dinner nights with my friends, boardgames, horror movies, being out in nature... and going out for the casual beer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

School trip to India, amazing experience that still haunts me in both good and bad ways. We all got sick from food poisoning and I don't think I've ever been so tired in my whole life, yet it was probably the most fun week of my entire existence.

I'm really good at making carrot cake. I am also quite good with a sewing machine, maybe you have some clothes that need mending. I am also good at getting drunk, might be my favourite skill.
