The best part of traveling is experiencing another perspective. It's best done through connections with real people, and is almost as good when they come to you.

Interests

I'm on a City advisory committee all about walking, and know too much about local politics as a result. I give the best local transit advice, and decent biking directions too. Though I'll eat anything (except sugar -- I'm too addicted), most of what I cook tends to be vegan. I like the challenge of accommodating others' dietary restrictions. One of my favorite hobbies lately is sewing dresses from thrift store bed linens. (Used sheets and pillowcases are way cheaper than anything at the fabric store, the perfect weight for hot weather, and often really fun.)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fended off three armed muggers with my bare hands. (Sorta. They still basically won, but not as bad as they could have.)
