About Me

Not much of a traveller. The trip I like most is that from my study lab...♡...to my dance studio...♡... so?
Strange to say... The reasons I am here, various as they are, are all associated to a sweet, joyful, flourishing land I was lucky to visit a while ago - Italy!

My first time in Italy was also my introduction to CS. I had a real long stay and fell back on CS pretty often. Well, in fact I was not always happy in a stranger's house... And to be perfectly honest, sometimes I didn't feel safe. These facts I can't ignore when I share the story of my CS experience. On the other hand, through CS I met quite a few caring, credible, generous people whom I owe the best memories of my trip! So I stay positive about CS and look forward to making new friends.

It is Italy again I'm going to soon enough. Wasn't looking for what I've found when I left Moscow for Milano last Christmas... Driven by my passion for the Italian language, I discovered a land where the might of human genius meets that of nature's. Discovered orange-tree gardens running down the mountains' slopes to the shiny peaceful Iseo lake, chilly stone mansions ascending the windy heights of the enigmatic Bergamo, motorbikes and seagulls in an attempt to outfly each other on the banks of the Adige river in Verona, and Venezia, the weightless residence of magic floating on the waters.

I wonder what feeling people get coming to Venezia... Me, I found myself full of pride for humankind and of self-belief. I thought, "So that's what us humans are able of... Now... Do I have the right idea of my own abilities?.." I recalled a couple of dreams that I'd almost given up and was full of commitment again.

Italy truly became a part of me so I almost feel like I have no choice but to come back. Now, to my delight, I'm practising the language with my Italian clients in Moscow :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Fan of Italy that I am, I'm happy to have been living in the fair, shiny-sullen, totally extreme city of Moscow. Us Russians curse this place and are ready to die for it. So, when you're here, let me have fun and intimidate you with the stories of its shame and glory, lead you to the places which will fill you up with thinking (mind that it's hard to think when you lose your breath... But that's what happens when you're in front of Levitan's "Eternal Peace") and above all - get you to know great folks! But...
Mate, my readiness to guide foreign guests comes out of both personal and professional interest. Don't get me wrong, but I don't want a mear casual hang-out. I'm a qualified guide and a loving child of my land, so I look for mindful companions who come for a true experience and not just to collect some dust on their shoes in all kinds of places. Showing my guests around smartly means much to my professional growth.
