Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Julia, and I'm a young journalist currently traveling and learning about grassroots media in various countries this year. I've spent the last six months in Nepal and India, where I've been working alongside different journalists, spending time with reporters as they cover stories, and conducting interviews with the hopes of understanding how people's voices and perspectives are being presented in a mix of contexts. I love talking to people about these things and have really enjoyed planning and living out this ever-evolving project! Otherwise, I graduated from university last May from Scripps College in Claremont, CA, USA with a degree in history and environmental analysis, and am originally from a suburb of Seattle, WA.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love meeting and interacting with people as I travel, especially those who are local to the surrounding area. I feel that Couchsurfing is a great way to initiate exchange and connect with likeminded people and hope to learn/share with others while staying in a home environment.
