30 year old girl doing some soul searching. By profession and training, I am a chemist. But in reality, I’m tired of the American dream and want to explore as much of the world as I can. I don’t subscribe to the idea I need to start a family and have a house with a white fence like most Americans do. I have bigger visions for my life :) I want to look back and say I got to experience the world 🗺️

I am really bummed that CS locked me out of my old account that I had references on. I have used CS for staying with hosts in Essaouria and Tangier Morocco and honestly it was the most beautiful time. I am hoping to start fresh on this account. Couchsurfing has helped me connect with lifelong friends all over the world even some who I consider closer than friends I’ve known my whole life :)

It’s funny because when I’m home, I’m 100% an introvert with bad social anxiety. I rarely go out. It takes me traveling to a new environment for me to break free from my shell. Perhaps there’s an element of being like “f*** it I’m never seeing these people again, so who cares!” and part of it is I’m my best self when I’m in a new place. I’m proud of myself for putting myself out there. Some people may find me boring but others may find intriguing :) it depends how you look at it. Boring people will find boring things, interesting people will find a way to look things in a different way 😃

My favorite philosophy:

- everything you love will most likely be lost but in the end, love will return in a different way 🥺🫶🏻

- Maktub (مكتوب): Arabic for destiny or fate. Everything in life and all the choices we make or didn’t make leads us exactly to where we need to be ❤️
