Hello fellow couchsurfers! My name is Julia and I am a student studying horticulture. I study horticulture at UW-Madison. However, I just did an exchange at SupAgro in Montpellier and then an internship. I spent my happy childhood in South Africa for 12 years, then moved to Taiwan during middle and high school where I began to develop my intellect and perceptions of the world.

I enjoy indie pop/rock. But really, I listen to mostly all types of music.

I didn't start watching movies till a lot later in life, but I like hero and space (not science fiction) movies. I also am starting to have a liking for the horror/suspense/mystery/thriller genre (Killing of a Sacred Deer, Get out). I do watch a lot of TV series though (Grey's Anatomy, Jane the Virgin, Limitless, GOT, Manifest).

To be honest, I don't read as many books as I did in my middle and high school years. I think it has to do with how busy college life is. But when I do have the time to read, I like mystery novels.
