About Me

Hi there!

I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and found my way to Boulder, Colorado. I graduated from CU - Boulder with a liberal arts degree in sociology. After graduation, I moved to Aspen to be a ski bum for two winters despite not knowing how to ski! It was a literal party everyday and I ended up making a lot of international friends during my time there. It was a fun experience, but the "real world" was calling and I moved back to Chicago for a short period of time before ultimately landing back in Boulder in 2015.

I now work for a small non-profit in the Denver area. During college I lived in Barcelona for a summer studying Spanish language, art, and heritage. I would love to live abroad again or move to a big city in the US like New York. My family is Irish and my grandmother was born and lives in Swords, Ireland so I'm working on obtaining my Irish citizenship.

Interests

Growing up I was very artistic and sadly, I've lost touch with that side of myself. I used to act, dance, and play classical guitar.

I recently decided to nurture my creativity by taking pottery classes and acting classes. In pottery, I am focusing on creating functional ware on the potter's wheel. In acting, I'm working on removing my "mask", being in the moment, and letting others affect me emotionally. It's surprisingly difficult when you're used to bottling up your emotions in your everyday life ;) I also would love to relearn how to play the guitar and am starting to mess around on a banjo ukulele my grandfather gave me years ago.

I like to trail run and am currently training for a half-marathon. I rarely rock climb, but all my friends in Boulder do and I'll join them on occasion. I also enjoy hiking and have summitted five 14ers (peaks 14,000+ ft) here in Colorado.

If you share any of my interests or if you'd like to learn more about any of the above, let me know! I'm happy to talk about all of it.
