About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel while helping underdeveloped communities develop.

ABOUT ME

We are a couple of young, fun and outgoing travelers! We are adventurous, polite, respectful, and easygoing! We are very reliable, organized, and clean. We are always willing to help out and we are very grateful! Julia studied Philosophy and International Relations, and Diego studied International Relations and Human Rights.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now we are traveling, and participate primarily as guests, but as soon as we are done, we'll be very happy to host and help people out!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in San Jose and San Isidro del General in Costa Rica, in Cuenca, Ecuador and in many places in Peru. We love the experience of meeting apeople and sharing what each can offer, be it a bed, food, knowledge, stories or the best thing to share, a good time!
Met a lot of couchsurfers and always spread the word about this amazing community.

Interests

We are currently in the midst of a two year long trip around South and Central America. We dedicate our time and efforts to work with different NGOs dedicated to sustainable development, social equality, and environmental conservation. We provide consulting services and seek an approach that allows us to integrate with the local culture and learn as much as possible to further our professional careers. Our passion for helping others in need is infinite, but our monetary resources are very limited; thus, we appreciate all the help we can get to make this dream come true.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Diego - Traveling to Bosnia with my University Human Right's department and meeting the widow's and sisters of the victims of the massacre of the Balkan War. At the end of the trip, fueled by the emotions of what we saw, heard and felt, we decided to found a student-run humanitarian NGO.

Julia - The most amazing thing I've seen is the beauty of nature. And, this might sound a little corny, but falling in love with my best friend.
