About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Always grateful.

ABOUT ME

I'm a peaceful person; always grateful. I'm always interested in exploring and learning new things. I like to garden, hike, and dance (with no particular coordination). I like to get together with people over good food talk at length with open-minded people over tea, wine, beer, or whatever we're in the mood for. I'm a vegetarian but I don't mind if you're not.

I'm married, so I'm definitely NOT interested in using CS as a dating service. I'd enjoy meeting people who are interested in forming friendships.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered CS while half-way through a 6-month journey in India.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Started surfing at the beginning of 2013. The experiences have been really diverse and beautiful.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Reaching the top of Navada Falls at Yosemite National Park in California changed my life forever. I've never seen or felt nature's majesty that powerful before. That continues to be my "happy place" I visit in my mind when I need to.

During a solo journey throughout India in 2012-2013 I was trying to catch an overnight bus from Delhi to Rishikesh, and the bus station at nighttime was something that I would have imagined a bus station might look like in a post-apocolyptic world. There was an abandoned metal detector, abandoned buildings, a violent mob, and all sorts of other craziness. I ended up having to visit two different bus stations and change metro lines 4 times before the journey was finished, and by some miracle I ended up on the last bus bound for my destination that evening. After finding my seat, I smiled and thought, "I did it. This seat was meant for me."
