About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am happy to meet up for coffee (or an alcoholic beverage) with anyone visiting Warsaw or Oxford...

I spend the summer months in Poland, but from October till June I will be mostly in Oxford.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

theoretically i am new to CouchSurfing, but in practice i have been doing it for years now...i hosted my friends in my hometown Warsaw, in Berlin where I lived for one year, as well as in England (Bath and Oxford) where I have been studying for 5 years now

Interests

there are two questions i hate- firstly, what am i going to do with my life, secondly, what are my hobbies.if someone asks me either of those questions i tend to say some cliche phrases

  • acting
  • coffee

Music, Movies, and Books

i love black humor...one of my favourtie movies is 'Snatch'. also a big fan of the 'californication' tv series

music- mostly mainstream artists, but lately I have fallen in love with music by M83 and Sufjan Stevens (I saw a fantastic concert by Stevens in London)

books- most of the year i spend poring over academic handbooks :)

novels that have impressed me were 'One Hundred Years of Solitude' by Márquez, 'Life of Pi' by Martel and 'The Master and Margarita' by Bulgakov.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

when i was 12 i took part in a theatre production in my school- we staged 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. I played the main character of the old stingy man Scrooge. I must have been quite convincing in this role as many people thought i was actually swearing badly on stage.it was at this point that i have discovered my passion for acting- at university i took part in some theatre productions and few months ago i played a drunk girl in a short movie (also a student production)

Teach, Learn, Share

i can teach you Polish, but its a very difficult language
