ABOUT ME

I recently started my master's in linguistics at the University of Freiburg. I came to Germany on exchange in 2011, and I loved it so I've been here ever since. I spent the last few years working but decided I missed the student life, and most of all, Freiburg.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I attend CS meetings often, and have met some really cool people here in my new city! I would love to host, but my room is too small; hopefully once I move into a larger place I can change that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I first met and stayed with some people who other friends of mine had previously surfed with, and it was always a really great time...so I decided to start surfing more around Germany.

Interests

I love to dance (salsa, latin), travel, eat (I will try anything - the stranger, the better), and drink! Haha the good life.
I also love swimming, skiing, hiking - in general, outdoor activities, but I don't get to do them enough!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travelled and lived abroad. No particular event stands out as being that much more amazing than another, but I'm lucky that I've had the opportunity to live in a place where I can easily just go off to a new destination every weekend when I want.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn how to cook more things - foods from around the world! Show me how to cook your local dish :D
I can teach you a lot of (probably useless) fun facts about languages, I'm a linguistics major and could talk your ear off for hours about why a particular word is pronounced a certain way, etc., haha I seem to be the only one who finds it fascinating.
And I'm always looking for a dance partner!
