Hi! I'm Julia and I'm from the United States but I'm living in Barcelona for my Masters program in International Business. I'm outgoing and I always try to make people laugh. I'm easy going, friendly and a traveler of course! I'm also married to my best friend, John, who is from Spain and we are really adventurous so we would love to hear about all of your adventures, too.

Interests

I love snowboarding, surfing and all sorts of action sports. I enjoy running, swimming, biking, rock climbing, hiking, camping and anything that gets me outdoors really.

John loves to rock climb, go camping, hiking, mountain biking and he plays ultimate frisbee and racquetball. He is a mechanical engineer (very smart!) and he really enjoys science.

We also love communicating with people and sharing stories. We want to learn from you!

Movies: Anything but scary movies
Music: Anything but country really (my husband is trying to change that)
Books: We love to read about economics (avid readers of The Economist) and about science (particularly John).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few amazing things: I swam with sharks, sea turtles, penguins, sea lions and fish while in The Galapagos Islands. I jumped off the sky tower (328m) in New Zealand and I participated in La Tomatina in Buñol, Spain! I've also been to the northernmost inhabited place on earth: Svalbard.
John hiked for 3 weeks in Iceland and did workaway in 4 different countries. He also has some amazing stories of traveling in Canada.
