ABOUT ME

We recently drove across the US enjoying some of our favorite hobbies including hiking, hot tubs, eating burgers, dancing, blues guitar and all things theatre related.

We love dancing and going out but are past our days of recklessness and like making a nice dinner and chillin equally as much.

We clean up after ourselves, and are respectful and responsible. We like sharing stories and finding what we have in common with the strangers we meet. Sometimes we like not talking too. We like to explore places we've never been and also frequently return to our favorite spots in cities and towns we've visited or lived in the past. We are looking forward to building new relationships with other couchsurfers and their hometowns! We are fun and relaxed and won't annoy you. We are 'no BS' types, and are usually but not always proud of that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We are looking to join the couchsurfing world during our upcoming trip around Europe. Having many friends who couchsurf and are actively involved in the CS community, we hope to get our foot in the door(s)! We are a couple, so you should be aight with that. Would love to learn from locals about the areas we visit but are also content keeping to ourselves. We are pretty low maintenance, never overbearing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Again, we are new to couchsurfing but we have done plenty of traveling together and are used to staying with friends as much as possible, otherwise we've used Airbnb. We want to join the CS community because we are eager to get to see our host towns and cities from more of a local's perspective. Having grown up in and lived in NYC, we know first hand how easy it is to get a very inaccurate idea of what a place is when you are traveling the basic route, entirely removed from the residents and their stories. also we can't ignore the budget...

Interests

We like to eat delicious food and dance a lot. We both work in theatre and like that too.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most frequently you can find us listening to hip-hop, but we love many different genres of music. Julia can do Ukrainian folk singing which is pretty cool. We are also down with the blues and dance music and literally anything good.

We like Star Wars and the Hunger Games a lot.

and we read too. books that illustrate racism and sexism and distopia are of particular interest, also the hunger games.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer we drove across the US, camping and staying with friends and family along the way. It was really great because both of us had previously done a fair amount of international travel but we barely knew how much our own country had to offer in terms of diversity of landscape, culture and food! We once met a preaching camel at white sands national park named Matilda.
