I have been working for an agency that organizes stays abroad (study abroad, au pair, high school exchange, work and travel) for more than 4,5 years and sends hundreds of young people to other countries such as the US, Australia and New Zealand every year. Then I decided it was time for my own next adventure abroad so I booked a flight, quit my job and went to New Zealand to work a bit and mostly travel through this beautiful country for a whole year. I loved everything about New Zealand, the people, the hospitality, the culture and diversity. Now I am back in Germany, back to reality with a new start in Berlin.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Unfortunately I can't host any couch surfers since I don't have a spare room or couch but I'm happy to meet up. I have already surfed a few times myself and these were all great experiences. I met generous and interesting people who welcomed me to their homes, showed me around in their cities and integrated me into their lives - even if it was just for a few days. I think Couchsurfing is the perfect way to get to know a place beyond the touristy spots.
Still being new to Berlin I also started attending the Couchsurfing meetings since it's a great way to meet people.

There is more than one amazing thing I want to mention: sandboarding on 90 Mile Beach, white whater Rafting in Rotorua, exploring the Grand Canyon, hiking the Tongariro Crossing , Skydiving in Taupo, helicopter ride around Franz Joseph and Fox Glacier
