Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking forward to my first Couchsurfing experience! :)

Interests

I'm very much into travelling; a passion I discovered during my year as an Au Pair in the States. I'm very proud to say that I've visited the following places in the last 12 months: Boston, NYC, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Lancaster, Miami, Orlando, Key West, New Orleans, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Alexandria, Annapolis, Mount Vernon, Harpers Ferry, Colonial Williamsburg, Bethany Beach, ... the list goes on!

On top of that I'm always interested in learning something new, for example the historical and cultural background of a city or (more or less important) trivia. Civil War, Presidents, Amish People, stories of immigrants? I wanna know everything!
I also love languages - I like them so much, indeed, that I'm going to become an English teacher! :)
A big passion of mine is music. I had guitar and singing lessons for many years, have sung in many choirs, have written some songs and just can't stop myself moving or singing when I hear music I like. Yes, quite you can watch me in the grocery store, singing the music that's being played or just my personal ear worm of the day.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty open-minded when it comes to music. Depending on my mood I tend to listen to musical or movie soundtracks (Les Miz, Pitch Perfect, Mamma Mia), Coldplay, Take That, Ed Sheeran or even Claude Monet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Probably the most amazing thing I've done was the decision to do an Au Pair year - to go onto a plane, fly to a country I've never been to before and experience the American way of life in a hostfamily with great kids. That decision made me realize how much I love traveling, getting to know other people and seeing new exciting places!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play the guitar, piano, flute and love to sing, cook and bake.
