I'm a little bit of everything)

I have plenty of hobbies and interests, I've changed a lot of occupations and jobs, I am always trying to do things that I've never done before.

I like learning as a way of life - not only at schools and universities (thus, I have really good and all-round education) but also learning through people, who I meet every day, and the situations, I live through

PHILOSOPHY

I may write an endless book trying to describe my personal philosophy)

As a Russian, I have a tendency towards global thinking and philosophical reflection.But also I am enjoying the simple realities of everyday life as they are, and I believe that they have an important connection with the world of high ideas.
I personally think that understanding of life begins, but doesn't end, with the act of perception. You only need to train your senses to see the wealth, consistency and beauty of the Universe. Living is a creative art and the first thing,that you need to do, is to open your heart and let the sun shine in.
As soon as you do it, you'll see endless amount of opportunities that the life gives to you. And your spiritual happiness is based mostly on your choice and your point of view. Most of what we need to feel happy is quite close at hand.
I like traveling and acquainting with other countries and, while I am staying somewhere (doesn't really matter where exactly) I am trying to live in the moment and share myself with everything that I'm observing on my way. I like making plans, setting goals, and choosing my next destinations, but it doesn't prevent me from feeling satisfaction and the joy of life at the present moment, when these future plans remain unfulfilled and all the dreams haven't come true yet.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joint CS while I was staying in another country, so I couldn't participate a lot, but I've already met several people via this web site and they were awesome.

In Russia I want to meet people from other countries, who come to my city, and show them some places that are worth visiting in Saint Petersburg, probably, host someone at my house, share at least a little bit of voluminous Russian culture and learn something from every visitor

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I joint CS when I was staying in Venezuela. There I went out with some CS friends and even made a trip with one of them.
And I am really glad that I became a member of this community, as I had a lot of fun and pleasure.
I hope to continue participating in CS project in Russia. I want to show my country and the city, where I live, to other people from all over the world, and I believe that my Venezuelan CS friends taught me properly how to help foreigners and demonstrate interest, attention, and hospitality.
They became the role-models for me, I am thankful for them and willing to try, how I've learnt their lessons))

Interests

I like art, literature, cinema, theater,photography, sports, music, traveling, walking, hiking, going out with my friends, meeting new people, talking about everything and keeping silence, staying in a crowd and spending time in my own company, working hard and doing nothing, playing and being serious, changing something in myself and keeping my identity at the same time.

I can hardly imagine something in life that I'm not interested in)) Probably it's better to say that I'm interested in living, as a matter of fact, and I'm trying to make my life full and various.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a fan of classical literature
As a philologist and former journalist, I had to read a lot and reading became a habit, that I hope I would never give up)
But I should confess that I am a little bit snobbish and I would't read everything that is sold at a bookstore)
Regarding movies and music, I'm not so picky, and my choice depends mostly on my mood
I may listen almost all kinds of music and watch different movies, starting from Ingmar Bergman's dramas and ending with some popular comedies, that have almost no sense at all

Teach, Learn, Share

If I have enough time, I can show you a lot of places in my city
Saint Petersburg is considered being a cultural capital of Russia, so if you're interested in art galleries, museums, theaters, historic places, cultural events, you won't be bored)
Also I know some good traditional restaurants, art cafes, pubs with live music, small clubs where you may have a drink, dance a little and spend a good evening. I may go with you or just recommend you something if I cannot join the club due to some reasons.
Also there are a lot of interesting places near my city - I may help you to organize the trip or drive you there if I have this pleasant opportunity.
Moreover, I regularly travel a lot (in Russia and in Europe), so I can give you some advice about the other cities that you may visit and, probably, even accompany you))

While I am staying at other countries, I enjoy everything - historic places,events, nature, street culture, long walks, eating out, and, essentially, people who I meet and talk with))
