About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be more active on this site!

ABOUT ME

The most wasted of all days is one without laughter.

I have been so fortunate to be able to travel, work, volunteer and study abroad after graduating from college in 2009. In the past 4 years I learned how to scuba dive, swam with sharks, learned my real mother language (Hungarian), passed on a little knowledge, and met some of the most positive, inspiring and kind people along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short. Play hard. Be honest with the ones you love

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I unfortunately don't have a couch as I am currently traveling around Southeast Asia, but I will be in Washington DC again soon for my 2nd year of graduate school and hopefully (pending the coolness of future roommates) will finally be able to host!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have been lazy with couchsurfing but have heard too many good things about it to continue the lazy trend, hoping to be more active starting now

Interests

anything outdoors (especially like to do some diving soon - I miss the fishies), music/jam sessions, dancing (especially hip hop lately), languages, ultimate frisbee, being open and honest and not just sticking to small talk

Music, Movies, and Books

Hunger Games - fell in love with those books, albeit a little guiltily (they sorta are meant for teenagers)

To Kill A Mockingbird
Harry Potter Series
Beach Music
Cutting for Stone
The Golden Compass
Stanger in a Strange Land

Music: MMmmm, so much good stuff out there. I have to say Ray LaMontagne, Ingrid Michaelson, The Beatles, Sublime, Bobby McFerrin, ADELE, Paolo Nutini, Joey Ryan, Third Eye Blind --> just to name a few
Stanger in a Strange Land

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One that is very very high on the list is swimming with the jellyfish in Palau (Jellyfish lake) That was a surreal dreamlike experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am currently learning how to knit - unsuccessfully. I love teaching people to play Ultimate Frisbee and how to throw a frisbee. I am taught some of my former students how to swim. Also had a weekly yoga class :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Slovakia

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Guam, Hungary, Thailand, United States
