Sobre mí
ABOUT ME
I guess I'm still finding out who I am. I majored in Marine Biology, I have worked as a photographer with my own company for a few years and I also managed and rented some apts and rooms for a while, which got me closer to people from all over the world. I'm currently managing a project of an alternative events house, where I live in the neighborhood of Santa Teresa in Rio. Mostly courses, lectures and other types of meetings about subjects that contribute to personal and collective conciousness transformation.
I was born in Rio de Janeiro and I still live here, but I love being around nature, breathing fresh air, hiking and exploring new places around Brazil and the rest of the world. I have done a few backpack trips since 2006, in Brazil, Europe and in California. In my trips I give priority to experience encounters and meetings with people, more than experiencing places. Of course beautiful or historical places are part of it, but I'm definitely not the kind of person that travels to go sightseeing. I have experienced that on my first trips and found out that my vibe is really to meet people. I have a few good friends that I met during trips, including an ex boyfriend that I met in Portugal and ended up living with me for a year and a half in Rio. So, the most important thing for me is to exchange with people during my trips. I know most of the people we meet travelling we won't see ever again, but some encounters, even some quick ones can be life changing experiences if we are really open to listening and being present.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I did couchsurfing for the first time in Ibiza, Spain, in 2006, through Hospitality Club, a different website. I was only 22 years old and I was travelling alone for 1 month during my first backpack trip. It was a great experience, my host's family treated me like their daughter and I'm still friends with her today. In 2014 I did it again in Ljubljana, Slovenia and it was a great experience too. I also had a nice WWOOF experience in Slovenia. I guess I was very lucky having such nice hosts all times. On my last trips, as I wasn't alone, we ended up staying at hostels, as it is usually hard to get to be hosted when you are not alone. And another factor that I found a challenge, my trips nowadays don't have much previous planning. I'm enjoying being a little more loose during the trips, so it's hard to get availability from hosts without much time in advance.
Intereses
I love to travel and get to know new cultures, views, smells, tastes and people. I also love to cook and taste new spices. I always want to try the local food when I'm travelling. I'm really passionate about electronic music (several subgenres), but I also enjoy other kinds of music. I'm also into meditation and spirituality, although I'm not religious. Love permaculture, natural and organic food, sustainability and other related subjects.
