About Me

hello! :)

im Júlia from Brasil! i am very talkative and i love to talk about all kinds of topics because i think its really nice to hear a lot of different opinions and experiences. from that you could tell that i am kind of curious, but i really care about other people. im really into meeting new people, especially from different backgrounds, so staying with locals or other travelers for me is the most intersting way to discover the world. im all down to slow travel and having as much time as possible to explore the same area so staying longer in certain cities and countries is always my goal when it comes to traveling, i like it simple and without rush! :))
ps. i laugh A LOT, specially when idk what to do, hope you dont get annoyed, but think even if nobody ever laughed over your jokes 99% sure i will, and about being curious i mean it, sorry as well if i talk a lot and ask you a lot of stuff its just my brain wanting to understand more and more how small we are in this world, and how amazing this also can be if we enjoy right here, right now. ohhhh and i am reaaaaaally forgetful!!! 🙃

- my next travel plans before covid were: continue traveling in latin america then go to the middle east and central asia 💛 hoping to be able to do that as soon as possible 😋

Music, Movies, and Books

my favorite band is Nirvana but im really ecletic and i like all kinds of music (really, i love reggaeton as well btw haha), and i have a huge interest for culture in languages that i cannot understand haha it’s just my thing and usually makes me get interested more and more over the language, places and people that speak that language, no worries to show me something new i`ll prob find amazing :)) my musical taste is basically everything, from classical music (i did ballet most of my life) to any other genre that i still don’t know always willing to appreciate new music since this topic has a lot of space in my heart.
my favorite movie is Donnie Darko (i love timetravel haha)
and my favorite book is Brave new world from Aldous Huxley, it’s such a visionary vision of the world written at 1932!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

i started solo traveling in brasil at the age of 16, been to almost all states in the country and at 19 i went to my first international traveling with a one way ticket through latin america where i learned a lot about my neighbours culture (as well mine) and spanish, which became one of
my favorite languages! :))
i’ve been hh, camping and exchanging work in most of my travels since i started solo traveling.
seeing non-planned whales in uruguay while i was drawing the beautiful landscape of cabo polonio was amazing, also the most beautiful starry night there which made me cry haha.
getting ride in the top of trains and buses around latin america was dope as well, running to catch them is an amazing cardio full of adventure and laughter.
the inka trail gave me def one of the best 4 days of my life which i took my time to make my grandma dream to see all inka sities since she cant cause shes been sick almost all life, i took the best pictures so i could share everything with her and see her happy, i was raised mostly by her and my grandpa, they are the most special people in the world to me and they had fully supported all my adventures since a young age, which i appreciate a lot cause made me grow so much. family and friendship are things that i value and care a lot, i keep contact w most ppl i became friends or even family (i have the most incredible venezuelan 🇻🇪 “older brother” that i met in medellín 🇨🇴 back in 2019 our friendship only grew from that!
seeing the riots in latin america and learning more and more about the history, socio-political-economical topics from mis hermanos!
learning how to appreaciate every single moment, places and people at its fullest without fearing the goodbyes cause i know they all are just a “see you soon” ;)
