CURRENT MISSION

My Dad (52) and I (24) are traveling to the US from March 17th to April 7th. We are landing in San Francisco, staying a few days before we are on our road trip to Las Vegas, Monument Valley and so on.

ABOUT ME

My name is Julia, aka 24 years old, 157cm madness from Berlin, the capital of Germany, with a population of 3,4 million people, where I was born and raised.
I speak German fluently as well as the English language as I spent one year in the USA in 2011/2012 where I lived in an American host family and went to high school during an exchange year program.
In 2015/16 I have been living in Shanghai, China, studied a little Chinese while teaching children English.

I am (almost desperately) trying to find my place in the world. Being outgoing, openminded, humble and curious, Couchsurfing is one of the best options if you're passionate about traveling and want to get to know about different countries, their culture and traditions but not only as a tourist. I want to experience it through its people in their everyday life and make long-lasting friendships on the way to have great stories to share! :-)

- currently becoming emerged in the veterinary medical field studying veterinary medicine in Berlin, Germany.

- being very passionate about photography and e-sports, you will probably find her hiding behind a big camera or laptop, following her favorite professional esport team or even playing a game of League of Legends herself - she shares this passion for video games with her boyfriend. In her childhood she and her brother discovered online-games and socialized with the most different people in the virtual world. It is really rewarding to be able to slip into other roles or characters of ones favorite heroes playing games such as League of Legends and to spend time discovering these worlds.

- like any other human new to the adulthood and it's temptations, she considers herself to be a TV series/movie junkie, loves fastfood (pizza, burger and fried chicken!) and nature (camping, western horseback riding, beach) and is very eager to learn about the world of science (whether it is biology, psychology or technology, as long as it doesn't involve too much math!) - right now, subjects like medicine, lucid dreaming, social engineering and languages really draw her attention.
