Chi sono
My husband and I have traveled extensively and visited over 70 countries across six continents. We love to try local food, see where the "hipsters" hang out, visit cultural and historic sites, go to popular markets, walking streets, places to hang out, parks, neighborhoods, see art, music, unique attractions, architecture, temples, good views (except Allan's afraid of heights so maybe not something that involves cliffs or a gondola lift). We tend to move quickly and try to see as much as we can in a short amount of time.
We lived in Boston for 20 years and have lived in Los Angeles for close to 10. Our work has mostly been teaching at universities in music, theater, and the arts. We enjoy staying active, outdoor activities, seeing new places, and spending time with family and friends. My husband has an adventurous spirit and is always finding unique and interesting activities for us to do. We love sharing our cities with travelers while learning about where you're from too!
We put together websites of things to see from Los Angeles and Boston where we’ve lived so you’re sure to find the good stuff:

Los Angeles is huge and requires planning to see things efficiently. Some of our favorites are the beach (Venice or Santa Monica), The Getty Museum (art, architecture, gardens, and views), Beverly Hills, Hollywood Sign, Griffith Observatory, Huntington Gardens, The Broad contemporary art museum, hiking, beach bike rides, and city views.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is the best way for us to enhance our travel experience in new cities and make new friends by meeting up and visiting favorite places to hang out. It's especially helpful not to have your head buried in a map trying to figure out where to go. We can meet you out for a coffee, dinner, or go around sightseeing as time allows. It's exciting when we can show someone around and then meet them in their city or vice versa. We've kept in touch with many Couchsurfing friends and sometimes meet them multiple times through the years.
