About Me

friendly, open-minded, simple, thoughtful, caring, social, interested, clumsy, vegetarian, down-to-earth, I always see the good in people.

I'm from Germany and live in Muenster, where I study social work.
I've lived in Chicago, IL to work as an Au Pair a few years back. That's also when I started travelling a lot and using couchsurfing as a way to make my travels as affordable and exciting as possible. As I had some vacation days and off weekends during my year abroad, I liked to use those to travel and see as much as I possibly can.

After my year abroad I have volunteered a lot until I finally started my studies. When I'm not studying I like to explore Muenster with new friends, play music and work at a youth education center. I have made many new friends during the last few years and love to get to know even more people while travelling. That's also why I'd like to us couchsurfing.

My interests kind of developed as I did as well during the last few years. I'm interested in a variety of things such as politics, philosophy, sociology, psychology.

I think it is super important to not judge anyone and treat and respect everyone equally. I want to meet new people, learn about different cultures and explore the world. I like to chat with people about their experiences and learn about them, their language and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For me the CS project is a great opportunity to have a place to stay while I'm travelling. Also I want to get to know people from other countries, cities and cultures. I hope to gain a lot of experience while travelling and staying with interesting and nice people.

I can not always host people in Muenster, but I'm more than willing to show people around and hang out in my free time!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my the first 6 months of my year in the States I have couchsurfed twice and both times I had a wonderful time. I have seen interesting cities and have met terrific people. I hope I can meet even more people through couchsurfing along the way.
I have used couchsurfing while travelling along the west coast in the end of my Au Pair year and it was an amzing experience. I look back at meeting incredibly nice people and I think my trip would not have been the same without getting to know people from the couchsurfing community. Meeting them and having them show me around made the trip so much better. I would always recommend looking for hosts when travelling.

Interests

I love making and listening to music as well as talking about it. I play guitar, ukulele, piano and I sing. Hanging out with nice people and listening to music or even making music together while having a drink or two is what I call a successful night. I'm always open for music suggestions and different genres.

Also I'm interested in languages, culture, meeting people and seeing as many different cities and inspiring places as possible. I've met many people from all over the world and love to hear about their culture and especially their language, as I try to adopt as many expression in foreign languages as my brain can capture.

I love to travel and see travelling as a great opportunity for me to explore the world, grow as a person and make friends. I believe that even if you've only met once and live a thousand miles apart you can stay friends for a lifetime.
