About Me
Hej travelers,
We are a calm and friendly family who absolutely loves to travel and explore the world together. Originally, we come from Germany, but we are now living in Sweden, where we enjoy the balance of nature, family life, and new experiences.
Traveling is a big part of our live. We don’t just travel for sightseeing, we travel because we want our children to grow up understanding the world beyond their own surroundings. We believe that experiencing different cultures, meeting new people, and seeing how others live helps them learn openness, respect, and what diversity truly means.
As a family, we enjoy simple things: spending time outdoors, discovering new places, sharing meals, and having meaningful conversations. We are respectful, tidy, and easygoing guests, and we always try to adapt to the rhythm of our hosts.
We love cultural exchange whether it’s cooking together, sharing stories, or just spending time talking about life in different countries. At the same time, we also appreciate quiet moments and personal space.
For us, Couchsurfing is not just about finding a place to stay, but about connecting with people, building trust, and creating memorable experiences for both our family and our hosts. And if you need a couch one day, just contact us.
We’re looking forward to meeting kind and open-minded people from all over the world!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We truly enjoy Couchsurfing because it allows us to experience places in a much more personal and meaningful way. It’s about connecting with people, sharing stories, and learning from each other.
We already have a lot of experience with Couchsurfing and have used it many times during our travels. Through these experiences, we have met wonderful people from all over the world, and some of these encounters have even turned into lasting friendships that we still cherish today.
What we appreciate most is the openness and trust within the Couchsurfing community. Every stay has been unique and enriching for our whole family, especially for our children, who get to see firsthand how kind and welcoming people can be across different cultures.
We are always happy to share our own experiences, culture, and stories, and we are equally excited to learn from others. For us, Couchsurfing is about building real connections that go beyond just a place to stay.
Interests
We enjoy a calm and cozy family life, but at the same time we love being active and creative. Music plays an important role in our home we have a piano, and all of our children enjoy playing it. It’s something that brings us together and fills our home with life.
The kids are also interested in creative activities like theater and expressing themselves through play and storytelling. We love supporting their curiosity and imagination.
Living in Sweden has shaped a big part of our lifestyle. We truly enjoy outdoor life and spend a lot of time outside as a family no matter the season. Whether it’s -30°C in winter or warm summer days, we like to be outdoors, explore nature, and stay active. At the same time, we appreciate quiet moments at home reading, talking, or simply spending time together.

Music, Movies, and Books
I personally enjoy listening to pop music, but I’m also always curious to explore other genres and discover something new. Music is something we often share as a family, especially with the piano at home.
My favorite book is The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. I really love its simple but deep message. I also enjoy reading travel guides, as they are inspiring and a nice way to learn more about different places and cultures.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One experience that means a lot to me is when I traveled alone from Europe to Bora Bora. A journey of about 36 hours with a toddler and a baby. I went there spontaneously to support a single mother and helped take care of her child so she could go to work. It was a challenging but very meaningful experience, and it showed me how powerful trust and kindness between strangers can be. I have worked for many years in a school in Germany, which reflects something very important to me: I truly love working with children. I enjoy supporting them, learning with them, and seeing the world through their eyes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love sharing experiences and travelstories,. I also enjoy sharing what life in Sweden looks like.
I’m always happy to learn from others, different cultures, ways of living, new perspectives, and also small everyday things that make life unique in each place. Meeting people from different backgrounds is something that really enriches us as a family.
What is especially important to us is the idea of giving back. People who have hosted us are always welcome in our home. Our door is open for them anytime. We even have a separate guest house, so we are very happy to host and create the same warm and welcoming experience that we have received during our travels.
For us, it’s all about sharing kindness, trust, and connection.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share a relaxed and respectful family atmosphere. We are easygoing, tidy, and always try to adapt to our hosts’ routines and homes. I’m happy to share conversations, stories from our life in Germany and Sweden, and experiences from traveling as a family. I also enjoy cooking and would love to prepare a simple meal or share food together.
Through my experience working in a school, I can also connect well with children and families, and I’m always happy to help where I can.
Most importantly, I share openness, gratitude, and a genuine interest in getting to know the people we stay with.
