CURRENT MISSION

Exploring South Island, New Zealand by bicycle in December 2014 / January 2015. I'll be home again in February 2015 and happy to host surfers.

ABOUT ME

Adventurous but easy going, with a passion for visiting new places, meeting new people and learning new things. I love variety and cherish time spent without strict plans and deadlines. Despite spending a lot of time away travelling, I am a devoted to my family and friends and consider relationships to be the most important 'asset' in life. Non-smoker. Vegetarian.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We couchsurfed while cycletouring June to October 2013 and have hosted many guests at home in the UK during 2014.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Surfed in Italy, Austria & Germany, Switzerland and France and really enjoyed staying with 'locals' and meeting so many lovely hosts. I have hosted many couchsurfers during 2014 at my home in Birmingham, England.

Travelling, trying new things, meeting new people and learning along the way.
I greatly value relationships and experience and I am not too interested in possessions. My most treasured belongings are my photographs and my music collection.
I like most things active - cycling, hiking, diving, skiing, swimming, yoga, gardening.

I love all sorts of music - headphones and pair of little speakers are always on my 'packing list'.
I enjoy watching movies but I don't do this too often, as I prefer to be outdoors/active/socialising.
I mostly read when I'm away travelling (and have time) and I then love to read books set in the country I'm in.

Slept under the stars in the outback of Australia.
Climbed Kilimanjaro.
Saw the 'big five' in Africa and tigers in India.
Spent 2 months cycling arond Hungary and Slovakia in 2009.
Spent 4 months cycling in Western Europe in 2013.
Spending 6 weeks cycling in New Zealand Dec 2014/Jan 2015.
