About Me

Hey couchsurfers and hosts!

My name is Julia and I started my studies in Bamberg last year.
Before that I took a year off after school to work, travel, see a bit more of the world, meet new people, make experiences, improve my language skills and especially to decide where or what to study. I was wwoofing (working and living on organic farms) in Italy for some months and travelling/wwoofing in Canada for about half a year. It was a lot of fun, I met great and inreresting people and I made some really great and unforgettable memories during that time.
Even after my travel year 'm still looking for every opportunity to travel somewhere and get to know new people and places. I really hope that there are going to be lots of further nice couchsurfing and/or wwoofing, too!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

One day somebody ona a wwoof farm in Canada told me about a nice couchsurfing host in Toronto. I was never thinking about couchsurfng alone, but we went there together for two days and it came out to be one of the best experiences I had. After that I was couchsurfing again a couple of times in Moncton, St. John and Montreal. I was very lucky to meet some amazing nice people who showed me the nicest places that they knew and with whom I had a lot of fun.
I like meeting local folks (like I was doing during wwoof) and I think CS is a really nice way to learn even more about the culture and mentality of the people in the town or area you're visiting than if you just go to a hotel or hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Basically I'm open minded to everything new and my tastes vary a lot

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I consider that one of the best things I could have done or tried is wwoofing and couchsurfing. It changed my view on several things like food, living and nature a lot and after having visited already more than 10 farms in Italy, Canada and Norway so far I can only recommend it, no matter which country you travel to :)
