About Me

I'm a first-year PhD student at Tufts University, in Psychology and Cognitive Science. I love traveling (obviously) and getting just a little bit out of my comfort zone. I wish I could host at my apartment, but I have three roommates and a cat, with one bathroom! So it gets a little crazy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I learned about couchsurfing when an old roommate would host guests on our couch, back a couple moves ago. I loved the idea of meeting people from across the world, and supporting people who are traveling but don't want to break the bank.

Now, I can only really travel as opposed to host. Right now, I'm learning to vacation on my own -- there are so many places I want to see, and it's so difficult to organize other people, especially graduate students. So I'm hoping to meet the locals, so to speak, so I don't get lonely as I'm traveling!

Interests

I study communication -- how people use language in conversation. Beyond everything else, I think people are my biggest interest! But I absolutely love art (Salvador Dali is my favorite), all types of food, etc. I try to read but definitely don't read fiction enough.

My favorite movies include: The Watchmen, Inception, Clue, The Princess Bride, Silence of the Lambs

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Burning Man in 2012. It was a bit of a life-changing experience, and I would love to go again!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to learn about your culture, your experiences, etc. But I'd also love to learn about food, art, anything that interests you. I love to learn new things.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to learn to cook, so I'd be happy to (try) to cook something :) I'm successful sometimes, so if you're feeling a little luckily let me know.
