Overview
About Me
Since I've been aware of the benefits of traveling I have spent my time finding new ways to explore the world. I have found that traveling alone is a life hack to exploring ones own spirituality. It allows us to face discomfort and take on new perspectives through learning about how other cultures live.
When I travel I tend to skip seeking out the tourist attractions and instead venture to the closest coffee shop/bookstore in town then head to the outdoors. I love spending as much time in nature as possible, I love being near the ocean and hiking mountains. You can usually find me posted up doodling in a cafe or hanging in my hammock overlooking town.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Like many I've heard the praises of this site and since I am taking a long unplanned travel I would love to meet new people with different interests. I'm easy to accommodate, I travel with everything I need and can have the best night just eating cheese and crackers.
Interests
I am a lover of the outdoors. I like to hike, climb, swim, snowboard, snorkel, kayak, paddleboard, practice yoga outside, water sports, ride bikes, throw a football, sit in my hammock and this summer I hope to learn to surf and obtain my scuba license.
If you happen to have a plane we could jump out of please, please don't hesitate to host me.
I love music, art, making jokes, teaching yoga, eating and a little wine, and laughing at myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love live music. It's unlikely I'll turn down the opportunity to go see a live band or dj. I love it all, Led Zeppelin - Modest Mouse, Odesza - White Stripes, Jazz, Classical, Funk... There's a time a place for all genres in my life.
As far as movies go I like the classics, I'm an Audrey Hepburn fan so Roman Holiday and Charade are among my favorites. White Christmas may be the winner though. Anything about travel and adventure excites me, 180* South is one of my favorites.
I read a lot. Sometimes I go down the yoga philosophy/spiritual growth rabbit hole and other times you can find me reading a fantasy like Haruki Murakami or some Chuck Palahniuk.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sometimes I get in my car and drive 10 hours to get somewhere new I've never been. It's not one amazing thing I've done but every time at least one amazing thing happens.
